On last week’s Planet FM show I interviewed Chris LaHatte who has recently been appointed as the Ombudsman for the (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.) ICANN is the international body that manages internet domain names such as .co.nz, .com, .org and has a close relationship with Internet New Zealand. I discussed with him the work that he does as the Ombudsman and the typical disputes that he investigates and mediates.
Interesting fact: the world’s newest country, South Sudan has been allocated the web domain name “.ss”
